My love of helping people has always been at the forefront of my mind. In 2003 I completed a basic councelling skills certificate. It was a great experience and cemented my decision that helping people was critical for me to be happy. I understand from personal experience how difficult life can be at times, and how important it is to have someone who can guide you or just be there to listen. Having suffered myself - I feel I can give back something key in what helped move me forwards; non-judgemental support alongside fitness training.
in 2012 I completed my LV3 PT certificate and in 2013 I achieved my LV1 CF certificate. As time progressed I have further studied movement, FRC, calisthenics and a few years ago received my LV2 CF certification. Having been into fitness since 1997 I realise the positive response exercise has on mental health as well as looking good and improving physical health.
Mixing physical and mental health together has always been a no brainer for me - with emotional reaction comes physical reaction; the two are hand in hand to developing better movement and better lives!
